She let me down

Melissa has a high turnover in clients because she spends too much time billing her clients than working. If she calls. Don’t pick up. Let her email you. Otherwise she’s just calling to check up on you to charge you. She’s terrible with discovery and paperwork. Horrible choice as someone who wi...ll not fight for you.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Melissa is an exceptional matrimonial attorney with an expert level of knowledge and expertise. Besides her clear knowledge of the Law, she has an uncanny ability to think outside the box. Melissa always above all has her client's interests at heart. I always refer my matrimonial cases to her because I know her knowledge and experience as a clerk to a Superior Court Judge will propel my clients to a successful outcome. She has always exceeded expectations. I would not want to be an adversary to Melissa as she is tenacious in accomplishing her client's goals. Despite her tenacity Melissa is courteous and respectful to all involved participants in a litigation. I wholeheartedly endorse this lawyer."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"Melissa and I worked together as associates at a firm before we both eventually left that firm to open our own, separate offices following which we have had cases together. In addition, we have consulted one another on cases and sought out each other's advice as second opinions on strategy. I know Melissa to be hard working and passionate about her job. I endorse her and have recommended her to potential clients that I could not represent due to scheduling issues or other conflicts."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
