Terrible ethical standars

I would not recommend Mr. Whittington. After accepting my case while with his previous firm, and seeing me through to getting a trial date, after leaving his firm he declined to keep my case purely for his own financial reasons. This really left me in a lurch to find a new lawyer in a timely manner.... And to be honest, even when he was handling my case, many mistakes were made in the documents filed, incorrect dates and legal codes having to re-submit forms to the court. Frankly, my experience underscores why Lawyers get a bad rap.

This person wanted me to represent them for free after I left my prior firm. I do not currently take contingency cases.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
