My client was charged with third degree sale of a controlled substance. If convicted, he was facing a prison sentence. The prosecution offered my client a drug possession charge. If my client accepte ... d this offer, he would have a felony conviction on his record, but he would have remained out of prison. My client told me he was innocent and I believed him. I worked with an investigator to find the evidence to prove that my client was not anywhere near the place where the drugs were sold. We were able to show that the confidential "reliable" informant (CRI) was lying. Just before trial, the prosecutor dismissed all charges against my client.

I represented client at a jury trial on charges of felony domestic assault strangulation and a misdemeanor domestic assault. My client and I were able to show that any actions of my client were done t ... o defend himself and his property. I cross-examined the alleged victim with the inconsistencies in his story to the police, the prosecutor and the court, arguing that he had lied to the police and he was lying again in court.

I represented client at a jury trial on felony and misdemeanor assault charges. I impeached the complaining witness's testimony with multiple felony convictions. I also showed that the complaining wi ... tness had a motive to lie about being a crime victim because he had injured himself and he would get no payment for his missed work unless he successfully claimed to be injured at work or claimed to be a crime victim. I explained to the jury that there were many people present at the scene of the alleged assault, but only the alleged victim had witnessed an assault. All of the other witnesses only heard a verbal argument.

Client was charged with attempted murder and 1st degree assault. My client, however, stated he acted in self-defense. Both the complaining witness and my client had multiple stab wounds that required ... hospitalization. I believed that the State had charged the wrong man with the offense. I repeatedly told the prosecutor that this was a strong case of self-defense and the complaining witness could not be trusted. Eventually, the State dismissed all charges against my client after the complaining witness claimed he did not remember what happened.
