I have been a family law attorney in Ohio since 1998. I have seen many lower and moderate-income clients struggle to afford the cost of legal representation. More often than not, they could not afford it and had to go it alone. My vision is to change that. My vision is to provide affordable options to help people navigate the legal process through limited legal services and legal coaching.
Limited legal services means- just that – limited services. I can help you handle some of the different steps of your case and charge you an agreed upon flat rate. You pay for just the services you need.
Legal coaching is a way for you to get the information you need without hiring me to perform legal services for you. Legal coaching can be set up in single hourly sessions or in session packages; how we do it depends on what you need.
Most meetings are by virtual conferencing or telephone. I offer flexible appointment times. My legal services & legal coaching are for family law matters in Ohio.*
*I also offer divorce coaching for those of you who have an attorney or those not in Ohio . More information about those services can be found at:

I hired Ms. Smith to get rights to my son. She got court orders for me to start seeing my son and did not back down to my ex's lawyer. She explained things to me I did not know about child support and has really helped me. She let me make payments using my credit card and I felt the amount she charg...

Attorney Smith went above and beyond for our family. She was very thorough and explained everything in detail. She was always very timely with responses and never overlooked details. I would absolutely recommend her to everyone.

Go with the first two ratings. I had the same experiences with this one. No communication, charges for incorrect work and overcharged for services that actually were performed (eventually). She is what gives attorney's bad names. I highly do not recommend her. I eventually retained another attorne...
Avvo acknowledges that it does not investigate nor confirm the comments posted on this site. Comments can be posted by anyone, even opposing parties who seek revenge on the attorney who represented his or her ex spouse. The complaints listed by this person would appear to give rise to ethical violations requiring investigation by the Ohio Supreme Court. I have no discipline or sanction history; my Attorney Information with the Supreme Court of Ohio verifies this: http://www.supremecourt.ohio.gov/AttySvcs/AttyReg/Public_AttorneyDetails.asp?ID=0069608.

I did not have the same experience as the other reviewers. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Ms. Smith returned calls and offered suggestions for my case. She is very knowledgeable and I would definitely hire her again. As for the billing, that's what happens when you have to hire a lawyer. She pro...

The previous client who wrote the review took the WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH! She talked a big talk, billed an extremely big amount - but did nothing else for me, honestly. Like previous client, she suggested that we try a few different things that did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for my case. Before withdraw...
Every attorney in practice today faces the potential of an unfavorable rating or an untrue statement about their services online. Almost every lawyer has experienced a client with unreasonable expectations, or one who got bad results because of their own bad behavior or bad facts, or failed to pay legal fees despite contracting to do so. These former clients can publicize their opinions and dissatisfaction online and they can do it anonymously. To properly defend, specific facts and information would need be disclosed by the attorney; to do so would improperly reveal attorney-client confidences. Therefore, the vituperative language used in anonymous comments and reviews is one sided and impossible to defend. Only one side of the story is publicized for others to review. I regret this client felt dissatisfaction and extend an invitation to him or her to contact me directly to address the matter personally.
"I endorse this lawyer. Ms Smith knows the law and one of the strongest advocate for her clients that I have seen."
