Marcy was immediately responsive to a difficult and odd situation. She was reassuring, knowledgeable, and with one quick phone call helped us feel a lot better about our rights. We would absolutely consult with her again if things get weirder, and recommend her to anyone else. Thank you Marcy, you... were just who we needed to talk to. I hired Marcy to help me get my dog back from a thug who stole him. In our first hearing, Marcy never once asked me any questions in court that would help me get my dog back. The convicted felon and thugh who stole my dog got to talk and talk and talk and talk, yet Marcy made sure I never got to say ...a word. Because of that, the judge ruled in favor for the thug to keep my dog until we went to trial. We went to trial and I finally one but it was a year before I ever got my dog back. Also, this thug made a lot of false statements in court. Marcy told me she would do a requesto to produce evidence of all of these statements but she never did. Weeks went by and I kept reminder her, but she never did. The last time I had reminded her she said that too much time had gone by and that the judge probably wouldn't remember anynmore. So I chewed Marcy out for this. She got her feeling hurt and stopped communicating with me. Its very said that some pos thug can get away with stealing a veterans dog, costing the veteran thousands in legal fees, all while making tons of accusations, but he never had to pay for it. Thanks to Marcy LaHart, it took a year for me to get my dog back. A YEAR!!!! All because she didn't let me speak at all during that first hearing, letting the thug seal the show and make accusations. And because she failed to do the request to produce as she said she would, that thug got away we stealing my dog and got away with tons of false accusations. Find a better attorney. Find someone who actually cares.

I have just started a case with Marcy. She has been VERY responsive. I contacted her initially via the email on her website. She immediately replied. Very knowledgeable in this field. Answered my questions and took time to listen about my situation. In just under two weeks she had completed the wor...k needed. Marcy is hands down the best animal lawyer and so knowledgeable about every detail. Hopefully I won’t need her help again but if I do I would not hesitate to hire her. Marcy LaHart and I first spoke in the summer of 2016. I had just been released from a hospital stay where I found out I was Bipolar and suffering from crippling panic attacks, depression and suicidal thoughts. After my hospital stay the doctor I saw after thought an Emotional Support Dog would be go...od for me. So I went to Orange County Animal control and adopted Bentley. A beautiful black Pit Bull. I took my paper work from the doctor and Bentley’s paper work to the leasing office of my apartment complex. That moment changed my life for ever. Bentley was refused and I was told he needed to be removed from the complex immediately! The eviction notices started rolling in almost immediately as I refused to take him back to animal control. I being in an EXTREMELY vulnerable way completely lost the little bit of stability I had gotten back after leaving Lakeside. That’s when I spoke to Marcy. The first call we had, She probably couldn’t understand a word I was saying at first. She was quick to jump in help me breath and explain the start of what would be an almost two year fight over my Emotional Support Dog Bentley. Phone call after phone call letter after letter regardless of how much the complex refused her defense of me she stayed persistent. Unfortunately the complex in this case was completely uninformed on almost every level of the disability laws. Marcy was by my side every stressful step of the way. Not only did she drive many many hours to represent me She literally held my hand during meditation. (Which I thought I would never get through) she waited patiently for me during my panic attacks. Sometimes I was worried things were not going to go our way, but her confidence, knowledge, and reassurance helped me get through to the end. I would NOT have Bentley today if it wasn’t for Marcy LaHart! She will always have a special place in my heart. I have and will always continue to recommend Marcy to anyone in this unique but Painfull situation. She did more for me than just represen me and win my case. Thank you Marcy always.
