Marcus William Kroll

I used Marcus for my will. I wish my brother would do the same! Marcus is well versed in multi-country estates/multi-state estates/complicated relationships (think 2nd marriage or LBGT relationships...) Marcus is SO smart and I highly recommend him. He's also very generous with volunteering as we...ll as charitable giving! He is an attorney with a heart!

As we were preparing to marry, Marcus Kroll helped us prepare our wills and powers of attorney. In the first session, he artfully guided us through the process of outlining our assets and focusing our estate needs. He listened with sensitivity and insight. He was knowledgable and patient with our q...uestions. When we returned for the next meeting, he had prepared wills and other documents that clearly met our objectives. We were amazed and pleased at how quickly and effectively he was able to grasp our complex situation and draft a plan that followed our intentions. We cannot speak highly enough of this estate lawyer.

Marcus prepared my will and is always there to answer my questions. I highly recommend him. He works with very complex cases with ease. Marcus Kroll is the most knowledgeable Estate attorney I have spoken to. He guided my family through the process by organizing my Dad's documents, reviewing his assets and answering all of our questions. We now have a clear understanding of what we need to do should dad become ill or pass away....w...e have plan A and B all set up so there are nothing the family needs to worry about. Beware of this attorney, he interviews well and then suddenly quit our case. We left off with great feedback before Memorial Day. Here is the communication from Kroll so you can see for yourself. "Their strong points: Lawyer (and wife) signed the Will and will testify that your father was 100% c...ompetent." "Our strong points: Lawyer didn’t keep notes, financial records, didn’t ask about health, took his orders from Sue, and probably isn’t trained to recognize lack of capacity. You can see in those emails and his lack of production of a planning file that he definitely cut corners." Suddenly Marcus Kroll emails nearly a month later and states: "The Judge held a conference today on this matter and basically indicated that he thinks Jim Morris is the most ethical attorney he’s ever known, that he doesn’t find it unusual there were no notes (given how short the Will is) and that this is going nowhere. He also indicated he would entertain a claim of sanctions by the estate against both of you if we continue this. I disagree that no notes is normal – there’s cases out there showing that an estate planning attorney has an obligation to inquire into the health of the individual – but the risk of sanctions and this judge’s personal opinion of Mr. Morris (despite all the evidence against him) lends me to think that there’s enough personal bias in favor of Mr. Morris that we’d be facing some serious consequences for moving forward with this matter. In addition, for an attorney not to take notes on a Will disinheriting the children is extremely unusual. Nonetheless, the Judge is pretty clear on his opinion of Mr. Morris and our case. Based on all of this I’d advise you to withdraw your pleadings. Keeping in mind I’ve performed substantial additional work beyond what was initially anticipated with our first payment, I’d waive any further payments on this matter." I wouldn't recommend this attorney to anyone. He's unprofessional. He didn't even notify us of the conference being held and did not represent us zealously. A complete scam artist.
