I am an experienced employment law attorney in Charleston who strives to provide small to medium size businesses throughout the state with practical and affordable legal advice, policy development, employee training, contract review/drafting/negotiation, and other general counsel services. Because I have a “virtual office” and very little overhead, I can provide affordable rates to small businesses and startups.
I graduated summa cum laude from the College of Charleston and graduated cumlaude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where I received the distinguished CALI Award for Employment Discrimination Law and Family Law and was a member of The Order of the Wig and Robe. I served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Cynthia Graham Howe before joining Thomas & Brittain, P.A. in early 2014. During my time with Thomas & Brittain, my practice areas were employment law, business law, and intellectual property law.
In May of 2016 I established my own firm, Palmetto Legal Solutions, LLC, so that I could focus on my passion: advising small businesses on employment law compliance and business law issues. I embrace the opportunity to learn about my clients’ corporate culture and customize my services to fit their needs.
I am currently the Regional Representative for the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, and serve on the board of both the Coastal Organization of Human Resources and the American Heart Association Waccamaw Heartwalk. I am licensed to practice law in South Carolina and a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
