Kyle D. Lawrence

I hired Cordell Law and they put Kyle Lawrence in charge of my case. He came to court, but was not prepared for any type of argument. He was very unprepared to object to anything and just agreed with the opposing attorney and court decisions. I even wrote notes during the hearings and he disregard...ed them. The firm itself, and Mr. Lawrence, lied by claiming they cannot object to a court commissioners recommendation, and they lied, prior to the hearing by saying they could object to the guardian ad litem or the commissioner. When the hearing came, Mr. Lawrence was "lethargic", said nothing in objection, agreed to everything (even the opposition whom he knew). After the trial, he left as fast as he could (and was unavailable the entire weekend, home with family for Thanksgiving). Following the embarassment of a hearing, I questioned the ability and competence of Cordell and their choice of my attorney. He became combative and argumentative with me on any suggestions or questions of his strategy. I had no choice but to seek other counsel after losing $12K to this firm- I received nothing I was seeking and this firm hurt my case badly by filing an ex parte emergency motion when they KNEW it would not be signed by the Winnebago County Court. Everything I was seeking was denied in court and my new counsel has an uphill battle because Cordell and Attorney Lawrence filed an ex parte motion-which being denied makes the case very hard to argue.

I had a restraining order filed against me for something blown WAY out of proportion. I was panicked, as I have no criminal record whatsoever-not even a speeding ticket. Kyle explained how there was absolutely no way the RO was legitimate and assured me it would all be ok. I felt very prepared for wh...at to expect during the trial and felt he was very prepared as well. I called around to several attorneys in the area and he was significantly less expensive than the rest, but absolutely priceless. The restraining order was dismissed and I am so thankful for Kyle’s help.
