Quite fighting for us

In the beginning of the case, she fought hard for us in the custody battle. The other party decided to not sign the papers continuously and was dragging the case out to drain us of funds. We had informed Jane that we had the funds to fight until it was over. After she had used the retainer, she ne...glected to inform us and she started to slow down on the case. It felt as if she just quite right in the middle because she spent the retainer. At that point, it felt as if nothing was done in the case. We were at square one with the case. Nowhere. She then informed us that we should just take the deal that the other party had put on the table. It was a terrible deal that gave the other party everything they wanted but did not deserve by any standards. She then sent us a significant bill with no heads up that the retainer was gone. Because of her quitting mid-fight, we retained new counsel and finished the case and got everything we wanted without blowing retainer and without much court time at all. Do not use her unless you like wasting money and have no desire for someone to fight hard for you.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
