Me, a mother seeking divorce and looking to overturn a temporary custody order that was in place for 6 months. I agonized over the decision on whether to hire an attorney or try to use the OAG's mediation service (which was a truly horrible experience as they are quick to raise the amount of support and slow to adjust the amount downwards due to changes in financial circumstances). As the Non Custodial Parent..., I was pleased by the excellent service provided by Ms. Arellano on my Child Support Modification. She was compassionate and helped me get the amount of child support reduced to reflect changes in my personal circumstances. I would highly recommend Ms. Arellano for any family law matters. It really helps to have a knowledgeable attorney on your side to navigate the system and make sure you are not paying more than your fair share or giving up any rights you are entitled to. While the process did take longer than expected due to the other party's delaying tactics, Ms. Arellano demonstrated patience and kept the process moving forward to a successful conclusion. I wouldn't hesitate to retain her services again, if needed. In fact, it would have saved me a lot of money if I would have called her sooner.
