Kristy Lee Arellano

I consulted Kristy Arellano, in May of 2022. Hired her and paid her by July of 2022. I presented her with all documentation and history about my case. I had already filed for my divorce on my own all I needed her help with was getting my divorce finalized and my children back into my custody full tim...e. I contacted her waiting for her to get back to me on what other information she needed for the case. She didn’t respond. She put my kids on hold for 19 months. 19 months I had to pay a huge amount in temporary child support, I kept asking her to help me get it reduced since it’s more than 60% of my income. She didn’t care. We finally went to court after hiring her 19 months before. She finally looking into my income and the child support situation and she was shocked the day of court over the amount I was paying and my actual income. 19 months of unnecessary stress because she didn’t want to help me. She spoke to my husband’s attorney about everything and he said that they’re keep the child support amount going and I’m allowed 50/50 custody. I’m sorry, but I thought she was my attorney, that’s not in my best interest. I looked at her in shock after she relayed the information and said my income amount needs to be fix and the amount I pay is ahead by 5 years or more with them being in my care and my parents care with them allegedly being full custody by my husband. She didn’t know how to answer that. She looked very confused. I presented her again with my earnings report and she didn’t want to ask for anything to be reviewed since the beginning of the temporary order was filed. I’m out thousands of dollars. After the court hearing had been rescheduled I knew I had to do something because she was t going to fight for me or my children. At this rate I’d loose my children and still have to pay 60% of my earnings and still be stuck with nothing but the marital debt. I made a review that evening. The following morning, Kristy finally did something for my case, she WITHDREW! After 19 months of not filing anything for me she WITHDREW! Now I had to hire a new attorney and pay thousands more because she FAILED to do what I HIRED her for. She never reviewed anything for my case, she wasn’t prepared nor did she review my evidence or give me a voice. I had to stay married longer and suffer because she couldn’t do what I hired her for. Don’t waste your money. Go somewhere else.

I cannot thank Ms. Arellano enough for all the work she put into my case. Every other attorney quoted me outrageous prices, but Ms Arellano was affordable and worked non stop on my case so that I ended up with custody of my granddaughter something all other attorneys said was impossible. She's very p...ersonable and doesn't talk over you, listens to everything, and in court very skilled in her questions and cross. Its clear from the moment we would get into court zoom that all the judges like and respect her. She's a wonderful human being and attorney. I also learned of her animal advocacy which is another bonus. Thank you Ms. Arellano for all you do in everyone's lives. Our family is grateful

This is my second go around with Kristy. First she did my original order for Standard visitation in 2017. I went with her again when I needed the courts to step in for a restraining order against my ex and to grant me temporary custody. She was calm, cool, collected, and extremely efficient. Sh...e knew exactly what questions to ask and what to show in court. It did take a while, but that was because of the courts/COVID that part was extremely frustrating at times, but that had nothing to do with her. I'll need an attorney once more for a final order, and there's no doubt I will utilize her services for that as well. A++ rating.
