I do not have any recollection of consulting with this particular person. There is a difference between a challenging or complicated case and a case that stands little or no chance of success. When a person consults me about a case that I do not believe has much chance of success, I try to explain that to them, though, I may sometimes speak in terms that might be misinterpreted as conveying that it would be too difficult for me. If this person consulted with me and was offended, I apologize. It is never my intent to offend or belittle.
