We had the city sewer system back up into our basement last year, partly due to poor maintance on the street line as well as negligent work by a plumbing company. Our home owners insurance would not pay because it originated from outside the home. We were stuck trying to recoup our losses from the ...city and the plumbing company. The city ended up paying for half of our claim and we hired Kieran to write a letter to the plumbing company for the other half. We also used him throughout our dealings with the plumbing company for legal advice. Ultimately, we were able to recoup the other half of our claim without any litigation and a very minimal amount of money spent for Kieran's services. Not only did Kieran give us excellent legal advice, he was an excellent listener. We didn't always agree on the "best path" forward, but Kieran would always listen to our thoughts and thoroughly explain why he agreed or disagreed. There were a few times we went against his legal advice with our approach. He would explain why he didn't agree, but never made us feel as though we were completely wrong or foolish. One of the main reasons we hired Kieran instead of other lawyers we spoke with is because he was able to exude confidence without acting arrogant.
