also known as Kelly McNertney Eckert, Kelly Joan Tanalepy
Kelly was admitted to practice in 2001. Criminal defense has been Kelly’s niche since the outset of her career. She started out at the Sacramento County Public Defender’s Office in 1999 as an intern and after her admission to the bar, Kelly continued as an Assistant Public Defender. After gaining experience and enhancing her litigation skills, she opened her own successful criminal defense practice. Concurrent with her private practice, Kelly was a Professor of Legal Writing at Lincoln Law School in California.
Now Kelly has over18 years of criminal defense experience under her belt and can handle all facets of Washington State Prosecutions. She also understands that regardless of the charge, it has potential life changing ramifications. As such, she states it is critical that each case not only receive her individual attention but that her clients are comfortable and educated throughout the process.
After being retained, Kelly goes through an in-depth examination of her client’s case. Kelly states that every case presents its own unique set of facts, which is where attention to detail is paramount. It is within those facts that Kelly piles up the missing pieces to weaken or sometimes even negotiate to dismiss the prosecution’s case. Should the case proceed to trial, she effectively argues the deficiencies of the prosecutor’s case while tailoring her approach based upon the selected jury.
When you combine Kelly’s attention to detail, experience and communication skills, you get one of the best criminal defense attorneys in Washington.

Pease if you find her as your lawyer get another one immediately.
This woman is the most neglectful lawyer I've ever witnessed. We now owe thousands of dollars for a crime we are purely innocent of simply because she, yes she, neglected to show up to our court date set by herself. She was late every other time. There has to be a way for this woman to be disbarred. ...
