Kathleen E Bergland, successfully defended our family against an anonymous and false claim that our child wasn't attending school. Our child now has the highest regard for attorneys, especially Kathleen, who helped calm her fears and protect her from overzealous, misinformed DHS agents & deputies. I ...know that without Ms. Bergland, it would've been a much more traumatic and drawn out process. They had threatened to remove our child forcefully from our home, or anywhere else she went, so they could investigate false accusations, when they had time. Ms. Bergland set up a meeting where the matter could be settled, with her present to remind DHS and authorities of our rights and the best interests of our child. And they did need to be reminded. Our child remained in our home and we were cleared of the false accusation.
