I had Ms Legsros when she was a young attorney in July 1997 she was my legal aid lawyer I was 16 with a direct sale and a gun they was trying to get me a 1-3 she was so good 3 months later they offered me a 6/5 I said and end up copping out to 1yr city bud she was trying to get me a y/o but they said... no then again 98 July I got busted for a observation sale she got the case dismissed right then and there she the best I would recommend her to anybody

Ms. Legeros did a great job for me. I was facing over 20 years in prison based on what a person claims I did. Ms. Legeros challenged the DNA and sure enough - it was not me. The case was dismissed. I went through some very bad and stressful months. It is so easy for someone to just make an accusation.... Ms. Legeros was great. I would recommend her very highly. I hope that I never have any trouble in the future, but if I do, I will look for her. She is the best!

Katherine Legeros Bajuk was my Court Appointed Attorney for my current case. I found Katherine snippy, evasive, condescending and just arrogant. Prior to the arraignment on 21 July she spoke to me quickly and only used Legal terminology. After arraignment she just gave me her card and instructed m...e to call and schedule an appointment and did not speak with me. Katherine displayed a great disdain for her client and did nothing to help me. I called her twice to schedule appointments and refused to meet with me. I stopped by her office to speak with her and she only spoke with me while walking to court. She used legal terminology and asked her to translate to 21st Century Standard American English and she did not. Indeed, she gave me incorrect directions and told me to go the incorrect way to avoid speaking with me. Katherine did not explain the "Cross Grand Jury Notice" to prevent my case going from arraignment to indictment or explain that process as a way to help my case. Furthermore, she let the Court move my case from arraignment to indictment and never provided notice on this matter. While in theory Katherine defends clients, in praxis she is a lackey for the prosecution. She should be reprimanded and stripped of her license to practice law in New York State. 1. Never explained the function of "Cross Grand Jury Notice" during arraignment or after the arraignment. 2. Did not file a "Cross Grand Jury Notice" to prevent my arraignment from going to indictment. 3. Refused to meet with me on my requests. 4. Returned my message from 21 July on 23 July when she said a meeting was not necessary, as the prosecutor had not spoken with her. 5. Visit to her office when she would only speak with me while walking to the courts. She did not address any questions and told me to gather "letters of reference," which she never mentioned before. 6. Katherine intentionally told me to cross Park Ave Row and go South to 1 Police Plaza so that she would not have to converse with me. 7. Answered her phone on 1 August and denied a meeting with me to discuss my case as the prosecutor did not contact her. 8. On 3 August only informed me that she and I had to meet with the prosecutor on Thursday 9 August, but could not confirm that date until Wednesday 8 August. Again, Katherine spoke quickly and with a great amount of confusion. 9. She did not inform me that the D.A. had moved my case from arraignment to indictment. When I retained another attorney for my case I mentioned her name and my attorney said that Katherine had a reputation of contempt for her clients. Katherine did not represent my interests at any point and must be disciplined for her incompetence.
