Kari Ellen Yeomans

Hired her thru Cordell and Cordell. She billed an insane amount of money and did no work. After she was fired, she put in billing that ate up the $2500 deposit to draft a motion, go to court and have herself taken off the case. Demanded case file and received 31 pages of "proposed orders" that result...ed in back and forth emails at $150 per message to fix mistakes she had made in them but that were never given to the judge. The opposing atty took her into an office to discuss my arrearage (I had been out of work and knew I owed some, but they wanted double). She came back and cockily stated she told them I wanted arrearages wiped out to zero. She said that would be the starting negotiation but she had pissed off the other party and atty so bad by saying zero, they never came back to me. Fired her after two mediations where nothing was resolved and eight months where I had no visitation. I told her to get my child a GAL and she refused, saying it would make the judge mad. After I got the 31 page case file, I continue to receive bills for making those copies and found out she was no longer employed with Cordell and Cordell. By then it was too late. I lost 13K to her and the court ordered the full arrears since I had no one to fight for me. A year, 13K and 31 pages of emails and proposed orders. Not in anyone's best interest to hire her.

Kari represented me in my full divorce and then again 18 months later when I had to take legal action against my ex wife to enforce our decree. She was nothing but open, honest, and gave great council on what to expect each step of the process. No one wins in divorce, but with Kari ' s repre...sentation I was pleased with the outcome.

Kari definitely did not have my best intrest in mind when representing me. Pushed me into settling handing custody of my child over to my wife telling me filing for shared parenting will look like me starting trouble in the courts eyes. I have completely lost custody of my child and will never regain... custody again thanks to Kari's actions. She also charged me over $20,000.00 in two months and when I tried to complain to Cordell and Cordell who she works for told me they support all her actions. I suggest finding a different attorney and law firm.

I would recommend Kari Yeomans to anyone looking to hire an Attorney! She has handled several different kinds of cases for me as I have know her for about two years. I have referred family and friends to her and will continue to do so. She is not only an excellent Attorney, but she is one who trul...y cares about people and will go above and beyond to help them! I could not be happier with her representation or more thankful to have her on my side!
