In our experience and evidently others who reviewed him, he is the worst attorney! He took our money for 4 years promising that the law was on our side and that the evidence very clearly showed it. We never had a court date. He hardly ever returned our calls... well not until we threatened to get ano...ther attorney several times. Then he texted with some lame excuse...he uses his military position and responsibility to it as reason often for his unprofessional, unresponsive and uncaring attitude about his legal clients and their cases. He bled my family for 4 years playing on our fears and love for the child we were fighting for, and would still be fighting to save had he not waited so long that it made our case appear not so urgent-although the same issues are still at hand for the child. Needless to say after 4 years we asked for our file and dropped him like a hot potato! He’s a blood sucker and gives the meaning to a sleazy lawyer. We hold him responsible for whatever happens to this child and have every conversation (that we actually did have with him) in writing or on recording and plan to use it to hold him accountable. Stay clear of him. If an attorney has no office, no paraprofessional or secretary or even one employee, no land-line number, can’t give you a speedy trial, you can’t reach him without playing a game of cat and mouse, and when you do-you soon receive an invoice... run the other way! He may have knowledge and would probably be a good attorney if he applied himself...BUT His practice is a laugh....Because his professionalism is void. He should wake up and read his reviews since 2016. Pick himself up out of the gutter, seriously take a look at himself in a mirror, wipe himself off, THEN find another profession!!! No one should have to pay to be treated by an attorney the way he treated us. We are still considering reporting him to the bar after covid19. Learn from experience...other people’s if possible...FOR YOUR OWN GOOD, DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY!

If I could give a "half star" rating I would. "Poor" doesn't even begin to describe Mr. Woodward's performance (or lack thereof). Mr. Woodward has failed on every level to deliver on a single issue as outlined in the contract signed between him and this writer. He has NEVER returned a single phone ca...ll, text, or email; however, when confronted with the prospect of turning him over to the TN Bar, he immediately sent a vague email reply -- then failed again to follow through. In addition to taking my money and never communicating with me (or giving me access to my client file upon request), he is condescending, disrespectful, and above all did not take my legal issue seriously. And that was in the first meeting with him. I should have followed my gut and kept looking. But, he was an armed service member...so I felt I was in good hands -- boy, was I wrong! My advice to anyone considering using this attorney is to keep looking elsewhere. Not only did I learn this the hard way based on Mr. Woodward's lack of proof that he actually did ANY work on my case; but I later learned through other area lawyers that he is not recommended or trusted. It is incredulous as to how this local attorney is able to practice law at all.

Justin Woodward has failed to provide me a certified copy of my divorce he filed over a year ago. My divorce was delayed nearly a full year because he failed to file in a timely manner. He has not returned my calls, or answered texts or messages. He has made a stressful process many times worse th...rough his unprofessionalism and unresponsiveness.

Woodward did not do what he said he would do, nor did he take our case seriously. He does not communicate, very dismissive and arrogant. The only time he consistently returned phone calls or emails was when he was trying to win our business. He said our case was a "slam-dunk" and it should have been,... but he was not prepared for trial and didn't seem to care. His disorganization and lack of preparation in the court room was startling. We gave him all of the tools he needed to win the the case, but he did not use them. He showed up the first day of trial, unbeknownst to us, with another attorney to assist him, who we had to pay additional $2k. All because he did not properly prepare himself. We feel that this was unethical and just shady. In our opinion, he ultimately cost us 100's of thousands.
