Rude, unorganized, duplicitous

I went in with the intention of hiring Benjamin Gettinger, but due to him running for a probate judge position; was passed off to first year attorney “Justin Ahern” who was completely unprofessional, lacked punctuality, lacked insight, was incredibly rude and patronizing. At one point I asked him if ...he had an update for me, after he promised to work on my case days ago, and straight up said “this isn’t a fast food service” I was not aware I was paying him fast food service rates! Since when do you pay people MORE for sub-par service! All of the forms he filed for me were online regardless, and even then, he mismanaged the process. He’s very arrogant and exudes a highfalutin attitude, especially for someone so young. Save your money if you’re going through a simple divorce process. Run VERY far away from Justin Ahern, and never use them again.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
