I handle a wide variety of divorce and separation matters, including traditional divorce litigation, and non-court based resolution processes, including collaborative practice and divorce mediation. I have many years of courthouse experience and considerable training and experience in non-court settlement processes.

Family practice includes premarital and post-marital property agreements, and estate planning relating to divorcing parties and blended families. I have extensive experience in negotiation of these agreements and work closely with estate planning counsel to assure appropriate financial plans are established to carry out the wishes of the client.

Mediation affords the family the ability to remain in control of their lives while working to fashion mutually acceptable solutions to their divorce problems. Mediation is less expensive, quicker, and less acrimonious than court-based outcomes.

How to raise children healthily in separate households is the most important and often the most challenging issue facing separating or divorcing parents. I encourage parties to work closely with counselors and child specialists to assess the needs of the children and craft a parent plan that will ensure children the best possible lives in both households. In those cases where the parties are unable to agree on the parenting plan, I will vigorously advocate for the children's best interests.
