Jillyn Marie O'Shaughnessy

Time was of the essence, and I needed an attorney with a proven record of being attentive. Jillyn was not with divorce proceedings. She would take several days to answer any questions I had via all avenues of communication. Now, when Jillyn needed my input or signatures for documents she was pushy. I... would never recommend her services.

I hesitated posting this review until others shared similar circumstances using Jillyn in divorce. She is not an effective communicator. Nor did she have any interest in helping me regain custody of our children. I wanted a lawyer who remained top of the game, and she poorly demonstrated anything not...eworthy of providing positive criticism. I relived her of client duties and pursued another firm.

I originally chose Grant, Harris, and Konvalinka because I wanted to use John Konvalinka to represent me in my divorce. They said that I would be using Mrs. O’Shaughnessy and she would be “consulting” with Mr. Konvalinka. She was not a passionate attorney. I hardly ever heard from her unless I emaile...d her and my divorce was complicated and was going to require us working together frequently. I ended up firing her and working with another firm.

My marriage was an abusive one, so by the time I got the courage to consult with Jillyn, I was pretty broken down. There were so many times that I didn't know how to best advocate for myself, but I knew I could trust her to advocate for me! When my ex-husband would try to manipulate the situation, sh...e saw right through that in a way that I couldn't. If you are going through a similar situation, I couldn't recommend her more. It was very scary, but Jillyn made me feel so confident that I'd make it out of there alright. Turns out, she was right :) No surprise there. I only wish I'd had the courage to leave sooner! 10/10 would recommend Jillyn!
