Greatly Disappointed

After leaving an incompetent lawyer, I seek out and hired Cordell & Cordell based on the company's longevity, experience and overwell being of understanding a Man pain and agony of going through a contested divorce. I had high hopes of hiring the firm and knew Cordell & Cordell was going to change th...e trajectory of my case and after consultation, my counselor became Mrs. Masey. I did not receive high-level services like the previous clients. When I hired the firm in mid-June 2020, I supplied the counselor w/a transfer file, a complete detailed summary of my case w/bullet points including copious notes from March 2019 to an Itemized list of expenses till 2021 and everything in between. With All the information I supplied the counselor and w/her 2 accounts of intensive studies, when we spoke on December 5th, 2020, Jill told me she did not have a plan in place to come to the judge, No strategy and she needed more time. I have paid this firm over $7,000 in 5 months on a case that was subjected to be roughly $5,000! I was appalled and confused, that w/All the information she received, she was not able to paint a vivid picture of what is going on in my case? Let alone, I spoke to her 3 different times about the case and through conversation, she had a real condescending attitude like she was tired of me asking questions and displaying options. What I did receive from her was, "what will not work in court, we cannot do this, I am not going to do this, Do this and that, silence, snobbish replies and Never provided a solution. I paid for a service and the quality of Work was Not delivered. I could care less about the other reviews, I am speaking Facts about what happened in my case. I even tested her to see if she was intrigued in working on my case or was she there for payment and was striving to thrive off of my emotions. I did receive my answer when the Plaintiff send over a modified paystub (that the counselor agreed was modified), so Jill calculated the plaintiff's yearly earnings, in which I disagreed with. Instead of Jill sending an email asking Plaintiff, her pay rate, the counselor said, " I can't go to trial and say, Judge, you shouldn't trust this paystub because Plaintiff owns a printer and therefore could have doctored it?".......This was the reply from the counselor based on her caliber of work! A counselor is supposed to facilitate, give legal advice, recommend, provide solutions that will fit with the court and in some cases help make the decision for the client. I thought this was Cordell & Cordell reputation. I received a typical "Roadmap" that wasn't filled out at the end and Jill Never submitted in my DFRA to the courts in those 5 months, but she submitted in her LOA to the courts. I check the Tyler Odyseey and my DFRA was Never submitted! This counselor/Cordell & Cordell cost me more pain, agony and it has been very detrimental over these years and now I am placed back to square one and I Will Never Recommend this counselor and firm in Atlanta, Ga

Forever grateful for Jill

When I hired Jill I was in over my head in a divorce I never wanted. I made a lot of mistakes in my marriage that I am not proud of. Jill listened to me and took my problems seriously as if they were her own. She was able to get me a better deal than I could have ever imagined. She is nothing shy... of a hero in my book. Thank you Jill for everything.

The Best

Jill Massey exceeded my expectations. She has went above and beyond to help any way she could. She walked me through every step of my divorce. I could not possibly imagine how I would have gotten through it if she hadn't been there. A blessing.

I would hire Jill again.

Jill Massey was engaged as my divorce lawyer through Cordell and Cordell. From our first meeting, Jill asked the right questions, gave me good information and guided me through a difficult process. Jill had the knowledge and answers at each stage in the legal process. Her work was always complet...e and accurate. I particularly appreciated her ability to present options with background information when I was faced with situations where I needed to make decisions on how to proceed. Jill worked extra hours in an already busy schedule to meet deadlines. Jill brought an aggressive focus to help me manage a protracted divorce.

Great work good advise

My divorce could have taken years. I had a unwilling wife to move forward with anything, and threatening to move to a totally different state with our kids. Jill was able to prevent any moving out of state and also help move forward or divorce. When she took over the case she turned will look like... years into a few months and was able to move an unwilling participate in to a full cooperative person. I think her for her hard work and would recommend anybody to use her.
