I have handled hundreds of divorces in New York City and Westchester Counties - these range from simple uncontested divorces to full-fledged trials. I am always willing to negotiate a settlement when aggressive litigation is not what will best serve my client's interest.

Mediation is my preferred role at this point in my career. As an experienced litigator I know all to well the limits of asserting a "right" in a courtroom and the expense, both financial and emotional, on the family. I find great satisfaction in helping people who think they agree on nothing actually reach an agreement about how to restructure their family in a divorce or separation.

Prenuptial Agreements do not have to throw cold water on a couple's engagement. I have represented many individuals who want to consider how to handle their marital finances before marriage. If both fiances agree, I can mediate an agreement rather than negotiate it. No one has yet canceled their wedding!

I am experienced litigator, having tried many custody cases in Family Court and Supreme Court. I often represent children in these cases, but I can also be retained to represent a parent. I urge all of my clients to consider the financial and emotional cost of litigation and will always try to help reach a settlement if possible. Sadly, it is not always possible, and I have had several successful trials in which my client gained custody of a child from the other parent.
