Although negotiating paying off my student loan debts is a slow process, I believe that this law firm is achieving the desired results. I receive very few collection letters/calls now, and I hear from my account representative at least once per month. The payments to this firm are automated, and th...e only thing I would like more than having my debt settled is to be able to get a remaining balance amount and as far as I know there is no way to do this online at the moment. I will call the office this week to see if they can direct me as to where I can get this balance, but other than this I have had absolutely no problems with this attorney. Anyone signing up for this service through any attorney needs to realize that negotiating debt settlements doesn't happen overnight, especially when you are paying the attorney on a monthly debt repayment plan; they won't be able to negotiate fairly until they receive a reasonable amount of the unpaid debt so that they can approach the lender with a settlement.

I am trying to get a hold of this lawyer because I am a client of theirs. They do not answer the phone and there is no answering machine. I do give this law firm 130 dollars a month to help me repay my student loans, but I don't know if they are going to the correct place or not? Do not trust this la...wyer!!

I agreed to be Jacob Slaughter‘s client approximately 15 months ago. I was approached by a third-party “student loan refinancing group” and by Jacob Slaughter‘s office to sign up for a student loan refinancing. Jacob Slaughter‘s office Told me they would be able to eliminate our student debt if i ...paid them $140 a month for 10 years. I agreed to this and soon thereafter I found out that no money was being given to the student loan company and that nothing was being done to refinance our Loans. I have called Jacob Slaughter 10 times and only got their voicemail over the last three months as well as sent several emails. I never got any responses from their office despite leaving lengthy messages each time and demanding a call back. So, despite being their client for over a year And they continue to take our money every month because it is on auto mated withdrawl, they continue to refuse to respond to our messages. And unfortunately, because they told us to stop paying our student loans when we signed the agreement and nothing had been done to refinance them, my credit rating has dropped several hundred points which is of course also very distressing. When i initially signed on with Jacob Slaughter they specifically told me that this would not be a problem but now they won’t talk to Me so I can’t move forward to resolving it
