Ioannis Ladis

John Ladis is a founding partner of Ladis & Baldwin Law Group, PLLC. A firm believer that every one deserves just and skilled representation in court makes his practice a true advocate for their clients. Individualized and thorough attention is given to all cases.

John had the honor of becoming an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County and serving under two different DA’s. As an ADA he developed a strong reputation for a strong work ethic and a powerful sense of ethics and fairness.

As a prosecutor John spent most of his day in court. Ensuring that justice was achieved on as many cases as possible. In the years he was in the office he handled hundreds of cases and was always willing to see them to completion whether that was by successfully negotiating with judges and other attorneys or through litigation when necessary.

John was also chosen to become a member of the specialized unit created by the DA’s office to prosecute domestic violence crimes, sex crimes and crimes against children. In his time there he handled sensitive cases that received attention for the press and had far reaching consequences for all the parties involved. Prior to being a member of the domestic violence unit he was handling general crimes including countless DWI arrests and was the only prosecutor responsible for violations of the Fire Ordinance code cited by the Nassau County Fire Marshal.

Prior to joining the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office John spent some time working as a legal research assistant for a private attorney a high profile vehicular homicide press case in Suffolk County.

John is a member in good standing of the Nassau County Bar Association, Former District Attorney Association of Nassau County, Criminal Courts Bar Association of Nassau County, and Hellenic Lawyers Association.

He is admitted to practice law in courts of the State of New York.
