I am a proud to have graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in Jan. 1999 (my last semester was in Dec. 1998). I am currently exploring a career change, so even though my profile will remain mostly the same on this Avvo platform, I have not provided consultations with any potential clients in the recent past. Prior to my law school enrollment, I graduated from New York University (College of Arts & Science) where I was a Double Major in these 2 subjects: 1) Spanish Literature; 2) Political Science.
This might sound like a longshot, but if anyone reads my Avvo profile in response to any change-of-career position that I've applied for, please read the reviews that my clients have left about me on my profile. Other persons who might have written reviews about me are those who read the answers that I wrote over the years in response to questions that were posted on Avvo by viewers of this website that were seeking legal guidance & direction.
Thank you for reading my Avvo profile & if you are in the middle of a legal dilemma, it is my hope that you find the answers that you are seeking!
I am currently on the Alumni Board of Directors at the law school I used to attend. Prior to attending law school, I attended New York University and I was a double major in Political Science and Spanish language studies. I graduated from NYU in 1994.
In addition to practicing law, I am also enrolled at Bethel Seminary of the East and someday (meaning before I get sent to an old-folks’ home), I hope to obtain a Master’s Degree in Divinity Studies.
I am proud to be a Baptist and I advertise in the Shepard’s Guide, which is a ‘Yellow Pages’ for Christians of all denominations. There is a link on this website that will show you what my ad looks like. This ad helps to describe the kind of person that I am and how I treat my clients.
I am a life-long resident of Long Island. I graduated from the Herricks School District in 1990.

Henry Lung
Henry Lung is literally the best lawyer in Long Island. He is honest, truthful, and hard working. I had a recent case, and he helped me get most of my charges dropped when I thought it would not be possible, but he made it work. I definitely recommend Henry for anyone who has a case in divorce and se...
Thank you Anthony for this review & I enjoyed working with you & I wish you a very happy New Year

Compassionate professional
Despite me contacting Henry on Christmas Eve, he immediately stepped up to assist a seriously ill sibling. My sibling needed her will and several power of attorney documents notarized, quickly due to circumstances. Henry came out at 11:30 pm Christmas Eve to take care of the business. He was compa...
This nice review was posted by the sister of a woman (named Kathy/Kathleen & of course her last name does not appear here) that attends my church here on Long Island. I received this phone call in the early afternoon of Christmas Eve, 2019 & was asked to notarize Kathy's signature that evening (or in the next few days) at a local hospital. I decided to go that same evening after my parents & sister had gone to sleep. I was at the hospital from approx. 11:30 PM until 12:45 AM on Christmas Day. I found Kathy to be very nice & I took care of the signature notarization. We were fortunate to find 2 nice women that were willing to serve as witnesses to the power of Attorney documents. I did not hesitate to do this at a very late hour on Christmas Eve because I felt that this was the type of kind act that a true Christian person would do. I wish Kathy & her sisters many blessings & I believe that she will make a full recovery.

No follow up.
I received a couple of messages from this attorney that i thought were helpful. I was thinking of hiring him and asked him what something like he recommended would cost. I received no response. He asked for my directly email address which I provided for him. I never received anything from him. I sent...
It is now 3:25 PM on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2019 & I clicked on my reviews simply because after a lawyer is reviewed on Avvo, that lawyer will get an email notification from Avvo. My lovely client Yaritza wrote a nice review about me (see the review above this one) & as per Avvo's policies, I received an email from Avvo. You'll see that she identified herself by her first name. It's been my pleasure to work with her & her husband. Tonight (Sat), I am leaving in 10 min. to meet a new Immigration client in Queens (my office is in Nassau Cty, Long Is). Then after 2 hours with this new client, I plan to come back to meet another client & his mom who are driving from Brooklyn on a Sat. evening (my 4th time meeting with them) so that we can work on his mother's divorce case & legal malpractice case. Whoever wrote this 1 star review, he/she is entitled to write whatever this person feels entitled to. But I really doubt that this person is a true, disappointed client b/c if I make it a habit of working this late on a weekend afternoon, you can be sure that I make it my policy to return all phone calls & emails immediately. By the way, the name of the client that I'm driving to Queens now to meet is Laura (her real name) & when I get back, I am meeting with Lester & his mother Eulalia. Whoever wrote this review, I have no hard feelings towards you. But at least you can be honest about the real reasons why you decided to write this about me. So be it & the best of success to you in the future.

Very Comforting
My anxiety about my husband’s immigration case was rising for a year and had consulted with many lawyers and paralegals who didn’t make me feel comfortable about the immigration process. When I first got in contact with Henry, he was able to make me feel much more at ease with his knowledge and his...
My pleasure to work with you (Yaritza) & your husband. Yes I remember you saying that you shopped around for at least 6 months looking for an Immigration lawyer that you felt comfortable with before hiring that person. I am glad that you chose me & I look forward to completing this case so that your husband can have his green card in the US. Happy holidays to you & many thanks

Very good lawyer
Henry handled my divorce and immigration case which both turned out to be SUCCESSFUL. We worked together for almost a year and I was really impressed with his dedication and passion for his career. He treats you as a friend and genuinely empathizes with you on your situation. He goes above and beyond...
This review was written by a lovely young woman who hired me to remove the 'conditions' on her permanent residency, which required us to complete a divorce case. Also, the Hearing Officer for the case was very nice & patient, so sometimes the right elements come together so long as the attorney & the client continue the push the case properly. Thank you again for taking the time to do this!

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2020.
Suspension issued in NY, 2020
updated on 09/08/2021Suspended means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
Censured issued in NY, 2013
updated on 02/11/2020When an attorney is censured it means he or she did something wrong but may still practice law. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
“I was issued a 'public censure' in 2013 for something that happened in 2008-09 when I donated money to a woman who was elderly & sick & always complained about needing money for surgery on her back (she did not have health insurance at the time & I don't know if she is still alive). This was a matter that involved an allegation of my sharing a fee that I had earned with a non-lawyer. This situation did Not involve any allegations of legal malpractice at all.”
