The Phoenix Military Assistance Project for legal assistance for veterans gave me a list of attorneys who volunteer to help veterans who are dealing with legal issues. I called and spoke with Heather after having three different public defenders attorneys. I fired the third Public defender attorne...y who claimed to have 30 years of experience in DUI cases. The public defender did nothing for me other than wanting me to plea to DUI. The public defender tried to use scare tactics of prison time if I did not accept the D.A plea offer. After fighting this case for two years driving back and forth to court from San Diego I hired Heather June 2015 due to being unlawfully charged with DUI and Possession of Marijuana in May 2013. Heather was not interested in the money she could get from fighting a DUI case. Heather took my case and told the DA her client was not interested in any plea offers. Heather immediately took a aggressive stance by reviewing the facts in my case and aggressively filing pretrial motions. Heather is very honest and I would have believed her had she told me to take a plea. Heather told me not to take a plea that she would fight for my rights. After going through 3 court appointed attorneys since May 2013 and several plea offers from the DA office. Heather had the case dismissed in January 2016. I am so grateful for Heather because she cares about her clients and will do the right thing and make the right choices for her clients. I interviewed several attorneys in the Phoenix area who wanted 4,000 up to 10,000 dollars to take on my case. I am a disabled veteran who could not afford the money those attorneys were asking for. God blessed me to meet Heather who is God sent to help me and others in very trying times. Heather told me up front this was her first DUI case, but I did not care because she appeared on our first meeting a person you could trust with your life. Heather have her W's in the correct order. Heather love justice and the WORK more than the WAGES which is so important. I would not mind paying a attorney if they had their W's in the correct order. From my experience there are just a few like people and attorneys like Heather in the world. I would recommend anyone to hire Heather. Don't think inexperience about Heather who recently graduated from Law School. The favor and gift God gave Heather will make room for itself in the legal industry. I would be comfortable hiring Heather over a attorney who claim to have 30 years experience in criminal defense because Heather's gift, aggressiveness, and concern for people and justice make up for it.
