Civil Matter

Geraldine represented my family in a civil dispute with a tenant. We are happy with the outcome. She was always on time when we had court hearings. She gave us reminders prior to each court hearing. Each court date was about 1 mo apart, and she was thoroughly prepared each time. She sent us copies of... everything that was filed with the court from the other party so that we could keep for our records and review what was filed. She made the process very easy and smooth for us. Highly recommend Geraldine as your attorney!

Geri has given me hope!

My case has not come to a complete end just yet however, Geri is working very hard on my case. I feel very confident with Her by my side. Her response time is amazing! Getting back to me same day for the most part including emails back and forth well after most attorneys would just message back nex...t morning and always checks in just to say hi and see how things are going. It's a very slow moving case but not by any fault of hers. I contacted many many Attorneys and she seemed the most reasonable, something I can actually afford. She has traveled over an hr several times to meet with me and is always there to reassure me when I start to worry to much. I can go and on.... she is one of the few things within this case I haven't doubted. I thank you Geri from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic Divorce Lawyer!

From the very beginning, Geri was upfront, friendly and very empathetic on my situation - my ex husband and I had split three years prior, but never went through the actual divorce process. There was an incident that had happened to kind of kick start everything into motion, and I was in dire need to... find someone who would represent myself and my son's best interests, and hopefully help me get me the majority of what I was looking for. That is exactly what I got with Geri - other lawyers I spoke to wanted $2300 upfront for the retainer fee, which being a single mom isn't really possible - Geri had a very reasonable and affordable retainer fee - others straight up told me because my ex was in the military, he would get full custody of my son and that I was "screwed" - Geri said that was BS and the courts have to fairly look at both sides - and other lawyers didn't even show up for the appointment I hade for the initial consult - Geri had picked the place for the consult by my house and sat with me for as long as I needed, explaining everything in depth (she was kind enough to have an initial phone consult, after returning my call that same day, and was on the phone with me for over an hour while I explained everything!) The process itself went pretty smoothly - before I had met with Geri, I tried to get everything into place that was needed, and got all the documentation for her so she didn't have to do much initially except make a few phone calls and send some things out. Once the first court date was down, she explained there might have to be a fourth one down the line and explained everything that would probably happen in the next few months - she commended me for being a great parent, being compliant the courts during the entire thing, and showing that my son's best interest was in mind (versus his father's, but that is another story for another time). I was even able to email and text her throughout the months with questions and concerns, and she welcomed it - there was NO extra charge, which was amazing as some lawyers charge by the hour. Geri was so extremely helpful, insightful, ethical, fast thinking and well organized! I am SO glad she was able to take me on a client - I got to keep sole custody of my son, along with a few other things to my family's benefit. I really enjoyed working along side her to finally get my divorce taken care of once and for all - she made the entire thing very, very smooth. Despite that fact that I was scared of my ex, Geri held her ground and (politely) called him on his BS every single time which was SO comforting to know she was in my corner 110%. If I were to ever get married and have to get another divorce (lets hope not haha), I would definitely have Geri represent me again! She is a wonderful person, and an exceptional lawyer! She made sure everything was done in a very professional and timely manner (it only took 6 months from start to finish with everything!). If you are looking for a lawyer who has YOUR best interests at heart with a high willingness to work / get results, and NOT just after your money then PLEASE consider asking Geri to represent you! I can't say enough good things about her and her work. It was time and money well spent in my opinion to keep my family together. :) :) :)

Great listener, helpful and available!

Geraldine was extremely helpful during my post divorce issues. She was always available and never made me feel like she was counting the minutes or in a rush. She explained things to me in a blunt manner that allowed me to fully understand what I should expect. Although the outcome was not what I wan...ted or expected to happen, I am still very happy with her help. She has also been very helpful since then.

worst attorney ever!

1. Never inform me of case time or date. 2. Took two week to return telephone calls. 3. Did turn in court paper when she stated she was. 4. She does not have an office , alway had to met at a public place. 5. Prolong case to get more money.

To my client who provided this review, I am concerned that you feel the way you do about your experience with me as your attorney. After seeing your comments, I reached out to you to continue the discussion, to see if we could continue to work together, but did not hear back. I would still love to talk with you as I know that I can help you with your case, we were off to a good start and had strategies in place to move forward. Divorce can be an extremely difficult, stressful time and it is easy to feel overwhelmed and frustrated. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, I strive to provide excellent service and consistent, high quality legal representation. Each individual client and their case is important to me. My law practice is structured to provide very personal service at reasonable fees. To do that, I work from my home and meet with clients where it is convenient for them, sometimes that is a public place, however this has not been a concern for clients as I do have the utmost respect for their confidentiality and they know about the arrangement at the outset of working together. While I do respect your concerns, and I understand the fears and insecurities that can arise from court proceedings in a divorce, I disagree with your take on the situation. The facts you state simply are not accurate. For instance, you did in fact have knowledge of the court date. You were present in court when it was set, you signed an Order to Appear on the court date, and you and I spoke of the next court date numerous times during telephone conversations we had about your case. We were eager to get into court to go after court orders and things you wanted to achieve, so we spoke of it often. Therefore, it was a revelation to me when you told me two days before the court date that you didn't know we had it. You raise the concern as far as additional fees. I did quote you a total fee for the work on your divorce, and we had a written fee agreement for the divorce. However, my representation grew to include an eviction and a restraining order hearing, and I charged additional fees for the additional work. We had discussed the fact that additional work beyond our original fee agreement would result in additional fees. As your case was proceeding, new issues arose and we agreed that shelter and stability for the long term were important goals that could be achieved by the additional actions. Again, I'd be happy to discuss your concerns with you so that I can address them directly.
