Child Custody/Support Case

Attorney Geraldine Johnson is the reason I was able to get 50/50 custody of my eleven year old daughter. After 10 years of being a very activate father in my child's life, my parental rights were practically taken away. I felt overwhelmed and defeated by the process. I decided to retained Attorney ...Geraldine to help me navigate the child custody court process. She designed a detailed plan to fight against a system designed to work against equal rights for both parents. You will be extremely happy with Attorney Geraldine's experience in law and her persuasive tactics to get results! I needed an attorney who was willing to fight for my rights and inclined to defend my daughter's rights as well. She will design a "battle plan" to get the outcome you deserve! Attorney Johnson "fits the bill."

Helped with custody case

I hired her for a custody case after my ex turned to drugs. She set realistic expectations and exceeded them. Everything turned out in my favor. Should I or other friends or family need her services I will send them her way.

Unreliable and Dishonest

I hired Geraldine Johnson in a really brutal divorce. My first impression was that she was that she was the answer to my prayers. I hired her on very short notice but she assured me said she could handle the complexity of my case. I knew something was not right with her because she was not doing anyt...hing in order to prepare and then just days before my trial she said she “couldn’t do it.” She went on the stand and actually lied to the judge in order to be removed from case. I was left with no attorney on the day of my trial. I lost absolutely everything; including my children to an abusive, unhealthy, alcoholic man . No one believed me. My children have been mentally, physically and emotionally abused because I put my trust into Geri Johnson. Young children are not often “believable” so after a year of abuse, trauma, PTSD, etc., my children’s therapists think there is now enough evidence and history and my ex is being investigated by Child Protective Services. Hopefully this will finally bring some justice for my children. Geri may be fine for simple cases but please know she is not reliable and not able to handle more complex cases. Just beware. No one should have to go through what my children and I have been through.

Professional and Caring

Attorney Geraldine Johnson-Coy is great. We consulted in person February 1, 2018. She: punctual, had an ear for my con I'm curious how your daughter's report cards look. You mention a drop in grades. I would imagine also the attendance record is poor and there are tardies. School records are an impo...rtant way to show impact, particularly absences and tardies. Grades as well, but usually the grades follow along with attendance.  What is the date in April of the hearing?  Do you have any particular questions at this point? Are you ready to move forward and we could set up a meeting?  She: has genuine concern, is willing to take on my paternity family matter needs, showed genuine compassion for my child and the circumstances with the case, is willing to go all the way with the case thoroughly and not drag matters on unnecessarily, also, willing to go to trial.

Best Attorney Ever

I have been back and forth in a 10-year custody placement/dispute with my ex over our minor child. I had gone through 3 previous lawyers who could never get the job done (not sure if it was lack of empathy, or just the unwillingness to push forward without settling). This time around I decided that I... was going to interview attorney after attorney, until I found one that clicked. I knew immediately after speaking with Geri she empathized with my situation and had every intention to put my son's wellbeing first and foremost. The case took us nearly two years to win, (not due to her but due to my ex never showing up to scheduled court dates) but we won! This was something no other attorney could even come close to accomplishing, and would have pushed me to settle on an agreement that I didn't feel was right, nor in my son's best interest. Not only did Geri continue to push me forward and support me through this beyond emotionally taxing experience, she was on top of everything. I felt 100% confident that she knew which path to take, and never once questioned if something was the right direction. If you are going through any child custody situation this is who you want to represent you, hands down. She did a better job than any other lawyer I have had, and her fees were about half of the price of other attorney’s.
