George Malaka was a good friend of mine from Egypt. I was in a car accident where a girl hit me and I decided to make him my lawyer for this case. He said that he would accept the case. The first thing he told us was to go to the chiropractor and he'll take care of everything else. After three months... with this ongoing case, I get a $10,000 bill from the chiropractor. I called them and they said that George has dropped the case and did not want to follow up with the case anymore. He said that it was too much work and did not want to go to court for this case. We also got another bill for over $600 for X-rays that were done because he said to get them. Also, he wanted us to get the police report ourselves when it's the lawyer's job to get it instead. He kept insisting that he could not find it when we clearly gave him the report number. Even the police said that it was the lawyer's job to get the report, not us. After explaining the case to him, he kept insisting that we caused the accident and he kept siding with the girl instead! What kind of lawyer takes the other persons side!? You're my lawyer, not hers. From the beginning, he was not doing his job as a lawyer. I don't know how he even became a lawyer if he can't do his job properly. And I don't understand why he even accepted the case if he thought that it would be too much work. Even though he's a friend of mine, I DO NOT recommend him as a lawyer! I'm now stuck with two bills because of his lack of commitment with my case. I will complain to the state's lawyer discipline agency about him as well.
