Franz Becker recently represented our family in a personal injury case against a very large national corporation. We had no previous experience in such matters and Franz did an excellent job of navigating and guiding us through the legal process. In all our dealings we found him to be personable, r...espectful and sensitive. From gathering evidence, to coordinating expert witness testimony, to providing on site support during defendant’s independent medical examination (IME) as well as during depositions, Franz was fully engaged at every step of the process. Most notably, at the completion of discovery and under a very tight deadline, Franz reviewed nearly 1,000 pages of defendant’s “premises documentation” and was able to determine that the accident injury site was a known but ignored safety hazard for over half a decade. Franz was alert to this newly emergent fact pattern and he correctly construed it to constitute gross negligence whereupon he amended the lawsuit to seek additional punitive damages. In preparation for mediation Franz prepared an emotionally compelling presentation which step by step progressively built our case claim around thoroughly documented facts and associated laws. During the ensuing mediation session, and despite risk escalation to catastrophic punitive damages, the defense appeared nonchalant; we were 6 digits apart on our respective claim evaluations and our case was somewhat of a “David vs. Goliath” matchup. Nevertheless, Franz was not intimidated. He remained resolute in arguing and advocating for our position. He was bold and confident in his assertions and he displayed an outstanding command of both the facts and the pertinent laws. When refuting counterarguments Franz remained a poised, dauntless, and a determined advocate for our position and ultimately, to our delight and satisfaction, he prevailed. Very impressive.
