Not your best lawyer
Schoonover charges rediculous rates for what she accomplishes. In my case she recommended giving the house that was almost paid off and paying permenent alimony. 16 year marraige with a women who was 35 at time of divorce. Replied last December 11, 2009Mr. Tim retained us to do a collaborative divorce not a contested divorce. Part of the collaborative process is working together with the opposing counsel with regard to disclosure. When his settlement proposal was rejected because of his unwillingness to disclose information he became upset. With regard to his comment that we suggested that he leave his Wife the home, the parties had two properties; a beach home and a home in town. The Wife was at the beach home and I suggested she remain there as part of equitable distribution. As far as the fees, he wrote this comment before he received the $2,000 in trust that was refunded to him.
