This client was accused of pushing a shopping cart full of groceries out of the door of the supermarket without paying for the. He allegedly bought a lottery ticket at the service counter and tried to ... leave. Our defense that we presented to the jury was that he was returning back to the registers and not heading to the parking lot. The loss prevention officer showed a lack of credibility during the trial when under cross examination, he admitted it was his responsibility to save the security video of the event and he failed to do so. I argued he jumped the gun and violated his store's procedure, resulting in a wrongful arrest.
