Eric T. Krening

I am a 20 year old college student who made the poor choice of drinking and driving. I crashed my car, fortunately there were no other cars/people involved, and received a DUI along with being a minor (19 at the time) I was in a really bad situation. I was introduced to Eric through my parents, wh...o have a much higher than usual standard for lawyers, doctors, etc. Almost instantly Eric was communicating with me the situation, my options, the likelihood of outcomes, and offered sound legal advice through the whole thing. Eric was intently clear about everything being my choice, and gave me the facts about all choices so I knew what I was agreeing and disagreeing with. If anybody has had to deal with the court system (at least in WA) you know how tedious, drawn-out, and frustrating the experience is. I think that the negative reviewer was not aware of that fact upon writing those comments. That said, as soon as things changed in any way Eric would inform me very quickly that it had. He also would contact before court dates to check in on my end of the situation, go over what we had talked about, and prepare us for the court appearance. Along with his excellent candor, if things were hectic or confusing Eric would find a way to get it done or make it work, I never felt completely out of options. The best part is the outcome of the case. I received extremely minimal jail time and fees, to the point that I would of probably settled for more time and money! If it had not been for Eric I would of plummeted. I trust Eric completely with any legal matter, I respect his knowledge, and appreciate his ability to communicate. I would recommend Eric to anyone in need of legal representation.

Last year I got the horrible phone call from the school while I was at work, saying that my son was being arrested! I didn't know what to do - I searched online and luckily stumbled on Mr. Krening. He took my call immediately and I don't even remember exactly what was said on the phone but I hung up ...feeling much better about the situation, and impressed at Mr. Krening's professionalism. He actually beat me to the police station and walked us through a few terrible hours trying to get my child released. Mr. Krening took the time to really get to know my child and his overall situation so that he could explain our legal options with as much context as possible. He suspected that my child needed treatment for an anxiety disorder - thanks to Mr. Krening's advice we got him tested and diagnosed, and into a much better situation at school. That alone has made an huge difference in my child's life! This was my first real interation with a lawyer and I didn't expect Mr. Krening to care so much about my child's overall well-being. It was a very pleasant surprise. In the end, after a lot of hard work, Mr. Krening got my child's case pled down from two felony charges to just one misdemeanor (with just a short probation!) I couldn't be more pleased with Mr. Krening's professionalism, knowledge, care and results! One note: there were several times in this case where after a discussion and careful instructions I chose to file documents such as deferrals at the court myself. I saw this as an opportunity to keep our costs down. Even though we had insurance that covered the matter, it does not cover "costs" such as travel time, etc. (check your policy, don't let it surprise you!) Filing documents myself saved money out of my pocket and I appreciated it greatly! I would hire Mr. Krening again in a heart beat.
