Eric Daniel Abes

Eric D. Abes, a 2007 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Fraternity, earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University in 2012. In law school, Eric served as a coordinator for the Courtroom Advocates Project, helping people obtain restraining orders and protection from abuse orders in New York City Family Court.

During college and law school, Eric obtained extensive experience in the legal system: as an intern in the Allegheny County Clerk of Court and District Attorney’s Offices; as a law clerk in the Essex County New Jersey Office of the Public Defender; and as a paralegal and law clerk for several Civil Litigation law firms in Washington, DC, New York, and New Jersey.

Prior to obtaining his law degree, Eric served for five years, with three deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, as an infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army. During his service, Eric earned the Basic Parachutist Badge and Combat Infantryman Badge and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster; the Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster; the Good Conduct Medal; the National Defense Service Medal; the Afghanistan Campaign Medal; the Iraq Campaign Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; the Army Service Ribbon; and the Overseas Service Ribbon.

Eric lives in Dormont with his wife, Robin, two daughters, and Lou the Wonderdog.
