No Effort Whatsoever

Don't get me wrong, Emily is a very nice person but I told her from the start that I was really going to need her to be a shark in the court room. My dog was stolen and every time I would win in court in that state they would move my dog to another state. I told Emily that we were really going to... need to go hard on this to bring my dog home as well as get all my fees back after losing so much money from these scoundrels moving my dog from state to state against court orders. That was stipulated right from the start. When my dog ended up back with the breeder in Alabama( Deb Jones of Thunder Run Mastiffs who was a part of stealing my dog all along), I hired Emily Haskew. These people that were moving my dog from state to state to avoid the jurisdicitons of the courts that ruled in my favor were also harassing me non stop. Contacting everyone I know, even members of my own family. These people are a complete nightmare. So when I said I needed a shark, I meant it. I needed someone that was going to address all of these issues. Emily assured me that she would have no problem taking care of business when I mentioned that I needed a shark. But then when it we were getting close to our trial day and I addressed all of these things to her again she said that she would just simply object if they started making accusations again and that she only wanted to stick with the terms of the contract (between myself and the breeder). She could have just told me that right from the start so that I could have gotten another attorney. Emily Haskew is no shark. If you need someone that is not going to take crap and stand up and fight then find someone else. Did I get my dog back? Yes, But that was easy being that other courts already ruled in my favor. I really needed the court to award me attorney fees after what these people did to me. Emily did not fight. No fight whatsoever. She was very attentioned to detail regarding the contract and other documents which was great, but no fight, no court presence at all. If she had been on the attack like the opposing attorney was I am sure I would have gotten all of my fees back. But no fight whatsoever. If she would have attacked this situation the way I told her to, to paint a picture of everything these people put me through, we would have had a much better outcome, getting my fees back for having to chase my dog from state to state. Emily did NOT want to paint a picture of what I had been through. She didn't even try. And now I have to find a real attorney that is going to stand up and fight against everything these people have put me through so that I can get my fees / costs back. If you need someone that is just going to do some simple contract law then I'm sure Emily will be fine. But if someone has stolen something from you then find someone that is willing to stand up and fight in the face of adversity, fight for what is right, and expose the people that stole from you for what they really are so that there can be at least some semblance of justice.

Mr Barto, we literally won your case. I did not let anyone say anything negative about you in the courtroom, and you told us how great we were afterwards. You told us the priority was to bring your dog home, not money, and bring your dog home we did. Good luck in your future endeavors. I hope you have enjoyed having your pet home after such a long battle.
