Not your typical lawyer, a real gem

Edward handled my will and legal issues before deploying overseas with the Army. He was caring, attentive and really responded to everything we needed. Would have happily used him again, we needed more lawyers like him

DO NOT USE EDWARD VOPAT

I can't describe how disappointed I was in Edward Vopat. I thought he was a standup guy, but disappointed me on all levels. I constantly contacted him for updates, he hardly ever returned my phone calls or e-mails. One day, I receive an e-mail form him, saying he had to 'unexpectedly' retire, and ...he never returned any e-mails after that. He still has all my documentation, never returned it as of this post. Turned out that he never supplied the state with my paperwork, found out when a state employee sent me a certified letter, saying that I didn't respond to multiple notices. Explained my situation and sent any electronic documentation I had to save any chance I had. Debating on obtaining a malpractice attorney, because he so badly handled my case. Can't believe this is how he does business, shows he is a self-fish individual.

Smart and Aggressive

Mr. Vopat helped me wind up my business in bankruptcy court. I felt well prepped for the court appearance and Edward explained everything before submitting the papers. He's a gem :-)

A man to have by your side

Was able to understand and communicate well in a difficult support issue. Cared about me, my child, and the results I wanted to get. He treated the other lawyer with respect which went a long way to helping me get where I needed to be. Highly recommended!!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
