Donald has worked with me on both my coop purchases in Brooklyn. My most recent purchase was a contingency purchase in the middle of COVID. Donald went above and beyond to wrangle al the other lawyers to get this to close. He had incredible knowledge on how to handle every issue that came up along aw...ay.

We recently sold The Condo Unit From Hell and I was unusually frantic about something going wrong with the deal. In fact, we had moved out immediately after a man was shot and killed outside our building in the early evening--just one of several gun shot events near our building--and we sold it as a ...vacant unit. The buyers asked for an unusual concession (a reduced escrow) and I would have agreed instantly to almost anything. But Donald didn't like giving so much up, so he crafted a novel rider to the contract that fully protected our interests while simultaneously solving the buyer's escrow problem. During due diligence, the buyer's attorney was sniffing around the condo documents, on the verge of discovering an ill-advised set of proposed bylaw changes that the ignorant board president was still trying to get passed. I told Donald the whole story with the bylaws. He distilled my account and truthfully informed the other attorney, who cleared the buyers to sign. The closing itself was smooth and flawless. The upshot is, if you're selling real estate, it hardly matters who your attorney is unless something goes wrong. Donald Fraser has a great word-of-mouth reputation and deservedly so.
