I hired Mr. Gouge in 2018 to represent me in a landlord tenant dispute. Mr. Gouge did represent me, the landlord, in a matter in which my tenants, who destroyed my property, tried to get rent returned after I had them evicted. On the appeal, Mr. Gouge took money to write the appeal, file the appeal... and have defendants served. Over the course of the next 6 months, when I would write his office for an update, I would get a be patient response. The truth, which I had to dig for was, Mr. Gouge never did anything. As a matter of fact, he also tried to get thousands of dollars to hire a God knows who to serve defendants when in reality defendants lawyer was willing to accept service on their clients behalf. Now, Mr. Gouge will not return the portion of my money for services he did not perform.
