David Lewis Is Excellent

We didn't intend to hire an appeals consultant to handle our appeal, but we're thrilled that we did. David Lewis has decades of experience handling appeals -- and that experience made a huge difference in navigating the appeals process and creating our Appeal Brief. David is attentive to detail a...nd knows how to structure arguments contained in the Brief -- which many lawyers cannot do persuasively. David also applied our suggestions in his work for us, since no lawyer knows the details of your case better than yourself. An appeal occurs because the original result was botched by the trial court. Understanding how and why the trial court botched the original judgment is key to overturning that result via the appeals court. David is great at identifying what led to the original (botched trial court) outcome and fixing that approach during the appeals process, to give you the best possible outcome on appeal. We highly recommend David Lewis for all legal work involving appeals. He's a skilled writer (not true with many lawyers) which is vital on appeals because appeals courts deal mostly with written material (as opposed to trial courts which involve witness testimony and courtroom posturing by lawyers). We've dealt with various lawyers -- in our opinion, David is a better writer than any of them and certainly knows how to compose an Appeal Brief better than they do. Apparently, David mainly handles appeals in Massachusetts and Colorado, but he can work on appeals in other States. Hire David Lewis for your next legal case -- especially if the trial court handed you a bad result. David is your best shot at overturning that trial court's bad outcome -- and we highly recommend him.

David was super helpful!

I reached out to David for help setting up a LLC for my company, Buddha Box. David does not usually do this type of work but he agreed to help me out with the process. David was super knowledgeable and made what was a super stressful process (for me) really straightforward and easy. He is really easy... to talk to and explains complex legal ideas in an easy to understand, accessible way. He was responsive and answered my questions thoughtfully and quickly. I will go back to David with all of my legal questions in the future (poor David ha!). 100% recommend, he is a great guy to work with.

Successful appeal with Attorney Lewis

I hired Attorney Lewis to write an appeal after my own attorney suggested it. The appeal was concise, very well written, sent in a very timely manner and it was successful! Any questions that needed answering on my part were asked so that all information was factual.

Very helpful, good advise

Attorney Lewis was very helpful assisting me with an appeal that included the judicial system in two different states. He referred me to another attorney from the other state which worked out very well for us. He followed up after to make sure everything worked out okay.

Divorse Appeal and Malpractice Advice

I hired David Lewis to represent me for my divorce appeal and malpractice advice with a prior attorney. David was very professional, punctual and helpful in explaining the process. We still have more work to do but I am very confident David Lewis.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
