6 Stars

Let me start by saying if I could give a 6 star rating for Dana Santos I would without hesitation. I interviewed well over 20 attorneys before my initial phone call with Dana. I came to know of Dana from secondary referrals while interviewing other attorneys. It was clear that she was highly rega...rded and well respected in the field, and I needed an attorney who could deal with my very complicated case. In my initial consultation I was very impressed with Dana's intuition about my situation. It was as if Dana knew the other person I was dealing with even though Dana had never met this person. This trend continued throughout my time with Dana on my case. Dana anticipated several actions the other party took well in advance and prepared for it. Dana explained the process of the Family Law system clearly and plainly for me, setting up expectations of the pace of how the system works. It was hard for me to be patient while in such a horrible situation, and there were times when I would second guess or doubt Dana's plan. Dana was very honest with me about the possible outcomes (good and bad) of my case. I admired that she did not sugar coat anything, but was always very compassionate to my situation. Dana explained our plan of action and her rationale for it. Of course as time went on adjustments had to be made, and she was quick to act when needed. Dana's quick thinking was a big part of what led to my case doing a complete 180 in my favor. She blew away the expectations she had set for me and the expectations anybody else around had as well. Aside from the amazing results she achieved, Dana helped me grow as a person throughout my ordeal. The way the case started put me in a highly defensive position, and it was quite stressful for me and my children, and my family. Dana's wisdom and calming presence showed me how take charge of my case and that I could be proactive and effective in bettering the terrible situation I was in. I am sure I called and emailed Dana far more than she would have liked but she always showed compassion and understanding of the immense stress I was under. I will never be able to thank Dana enough for how much she has done for my family and me. I look back at where things were when my life was a parent's worst nightmare to where I am now raising my awesome children. I will never forget how she changed the lives of my family.

100% Strongly Recommend Dana Santos

Few months ago I had received a court summons notifying me that my daughter's mother was filing for sole physical and legal custody. Being a Disabled Veteran living in Texas I didn't understand how to respond or what my options were at the time. Many law offices were too busy and weren't willing to m...ake the commitment of explaining legal procedure to me and guiding me through the process. Until I found Dana L. Santos this woman was a god send and took the time to explain all my options and returned every call personally and promptly. Dana was able to broker an agreement between us and opened up the channels of communication that not only resolved our issues but left us in a better place in our relationship as parents of our daughter. Initially I was very cautious because I know that lawyers can be costly and ring up bills like Congress. This was not an issue between us and I am very satisfied with the cost of representation and the quality of it, in fact I believe that I ended up on the most beneficial side of hiring Dana. She has an extensive knowledge of Family Law and is capable of illuminating any legal complexity. If you want a Lawyer who will fight for you and represent you with the highest integrity, and ethical standards hire Dana.

Aggressive

Ms. Santos is an aggressive lawyer who can be good if you want to intimidate the other lawyer and your ex. She can be a bad choice if you want to negotiate because she can be rude to your ex for no good reason, which makes negotiation that much harder. She is good if you care about money more than ho...w to work with your ex on a good child custody plan. She's not knowledgeable about things outside family law (didn't know, for example, that it's against the law to take a child out of school for a week for visitation)
