I need to formally express my concerns about how my case was handled. As you know, I went into trial without adequate guidance or preparation after being advised to find new counsel licensed in both states—something that was not realistically possible so close to trial. I was not advised on reques...ting a continuance or given meaningful direction on how to protect my position under those circumstances. As a result, the outcome has had severe consequences. I have not seen my child since March 21, and my ex has effectively been given full control. I made decisions, including limiting contact, based on safety concerns, yet that appears to have been used against me without proper context or advocacy. I trusted the process and relied on your guidance, and I feel that I was left to navigate a critical legal situation on my own without the support or strategy I needed.
