Craig S. Bonnell

I hired Mr. Bonnell as my divorce attorney in July 2018. During the course of almost 2 years, I met with him twice. I would call him to find out the status of my divorce, but the secretary was never able to tell me where I was in the process. I paid Mr. Bonnell all the monies requested, but the servi...ce he provided me was very poor and I was dissatisfied with him. I since have fired him as my attorney, however, he refused to meet with me, email or contact me by phone. He only responds to me via texts. I have contacted the State Bar of Ga concerning this matter because I have requested some of my monies back, but he disputes what I paid him. He had a software program called Mycase where I would log in to my account to make my payments. However, I have been forbidden access to it. I would not recommend him to my family or friends!

Mr. Bonnell handled my divorce and although he originally told me we would have a court date within 3 months it took almost 9 months. He did not answer calls and neglected to notify the other party of the original court date. I was extremely disappointed that it would take him weeks and sometime mon...ths to return a call. It took 6 months for him to answer a call regarding an update on my contempt case at which time he informed me that he wasn't working on it because it required additional payment. He never mentioned fees when he asked me to meet to discuss the plan of action. Had he told me I would have paid. I had to send a certified letter in order to even get that response. I have since asked repeatedly for my file so I could obtain another attorney and have still not received a response.
