I wish I could add another star (or more)!!! My situation was with property managers at my apartment, who not only communicated poorly (only getting back to me in a timely manner when it benefitted them--or not at all), but at the end of my time at the apartment, were also trying to strong-arm/manipu...late me into paying a "convenience fee" of $100 because I found a house, so decided not to take a bigger apartment in the same complex. They also said I was breaking the lease early (my lease had been up for months) and therefore I would forfeit my whole deposit and have to pay rent and electricity until the next tenant paid their first month's rent. Needless to say, along with the fun adventure of moving, I was stressed! Someone recommended Colette, and it was like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders--she had my back! I turned all my information over to her and did exactly what she said, which included not speaking to the prop. managers, to which I gratefully complied! It took awhile because they would not respond to her either, but she called today and I got my COMPLETE deposit back! Her attention to detail, good legal advice, knowledge of the law, and her intuitive patience made it all happen. We are hoping this company will have learned that they are breaking the law, on a number of levels, and maybe they will not do this kind of stuff to anyone else. Thank you, Colette
