C. Jeff Mulliner

Jeff and his wife Kristen knowingly let my husband go to prison. They lied to the state and let us fail when trying to prove innocence. We paid $25,000 for literally nothing. No defense, no help, nothing. We would have been better off with a public defender. They told the state that we were liars (ev...en though we have proof of their wrongdoings) and therefore my husband will get to spend decades in prison for something the Mulliners KNOW he did not do. Thanks for that. So much for Justice. I hope karma comes back on you both. Stop practicing law regardless of which side you’re on. You’re ruining people’s lives every day and sadly you’ve ruined ours. The other reviews I’ve read here are 100% accurate so please do not get into bed with these people. Do your research and don’t repeat our mistakes. It will literally cost you everything.

“Expensive nightmare” are the words that pop into my head when thinking of our experience with Jeff Mulliner. Initially he is pleasant and tells you everything you’re hoping to hear be done for your loved one BEFORE getting his money and tells you all the things he’s going to do. Immediately after ge...tting the money it was like pulling teeth to try and get him to do ANYTHING and follow through on things he said. Almost every question is answered with “That’s on my radar.” We never got follow through and it was endless stress for our family to have hired him. At least use your money as toilet paper because at least you’ll get some use out of it. Literally. We eventually fired him due to his lack of effort and lack of anything, and hired someone else who actually believed in our family member and was willing to work for what they were paid. It has now been over three years since we fired him and despite multiple requests before firing him as well as after, we have still not received an invoice for the work that he says he did but never did. But he did respond with a letter about 2 years ago that said a response will be “forthcoming”. Still waiting.Thus, we basically flushed $15,000 down the toilet.

I have worked in the legal industry for over 40 years, both in the civil and criminal arenas during which time I have the pleasure of working with some great trial lawyers who really know their stuff in advocating for their client. In my opinion, Jeff Mulliner falls quite short of that. Normally I w...ould not criticize a lawyer in handling a matter however, I feel you should know what you are getting yourself into if you consider retaining Jeff as your attorney. In hiring Jeff, I have never encountered a lawyer with such a display of underhanded deceit followed by rude unprofessional behavior towards his client and family members. Before taking our money, Jeff at first seem to be the person who was willing to openly discuss the case with family members as well as listen to the desires and wishes in his representation. We wanted a defensive pit bull on this matter and Jeff was a lame duck who barely wrote out a 3 page motion, made very little arguments and allowed his prosecutorial side to kick in handling the matter rather than from a defensive point of view. Jeff barely did any work or research for our family member in need. in fact he constantly went against our wishes without advising what was goin on. He was very patronizing. Dealing with Jeff Mulliner was very stressful. Any inquiries or updates we requested were constantly ignored or answered sarcastically. To say the least, we wasted our money with Jeff. He is not a trial warrior,, nor is he Defense attorney. After seeing our love one languishing and suffering in Jail, we had fire Jeff out of desperation and get a better lawyer. Thank God we did.

If you are viewing this and checking whats the best way for you to go. It's only because you are in a time of your life that" You Don't Know What To Do". Trust me, My family and I were in the same positive;" When the world as I knew it came CRASHING ALL DOWN! My wife and family did not know what to d...o? Who to call? Or even, What was going to happen? But they finally got it together and remember the person who help my cousin a while back when he was in a similar situation. Yes, Im talking about Jeff! I was Scared, Angry, Confused, and thinking the worst in the world, and that it was all OVER for me! My wife contacted Jeff after my cousin found out and told her don't hire anyone else get the same lawyer he had , and they did!! Jeff went and had me pulled out of my unit, I didn't know who was visiting me, I could not even make a call yet! When I saw him for the first time, I asked my self who was this WHITE GUY trying to talk to me. He told me my wife had just hired him as my lawyer and that he was going to help me out and that everything was going to be OK! For the first time in 2 days I actually felt a sense of CALM run through me, but I still had my worries, NO DOUT! But you know what? When everyone in there said this and that, and EVERYBODY IN THE UNIT HAD GOTTEN A LAW DEGREE AND BECAME LAWYERS and said it was over for me! I got out with bond! During all my time fight the system trying to figure the best move to take, and see where my path ends up! Jeff was ALWAYS BY MY SIDE and let my wife and I, know he's was doing his BEST! He really was! When the time came to face the JUDGE, I was OK with my self and had made peace with my wife and family! I was ready to face the next step in my life that I caused for myself and my FAMILY! Jeff was AMAZING in there, he did more then I ever expected from him and you know what? He got me the impossible, possible. The best possible deal we could ever DREAM for, you may say to yourself that it was because he was the BEST or that he's good at what he does! I will just put it like this! For me " He was Just my Guarding Angel in disguise " No longer did I see that same WHITE GUY from the beginning, but the person who brought LIGHT where there was ONLY DARKNESS at one time! IF THIS DOES NOT MAKE UP YOUR MIND THAT HES THE ONE YOU WANT? GOOD LUCK WITH THAT OTHER GUY THAT MIGHT GIVE YOU SOME TIME, REST ASURE THAT JEFF WILL DO FOR YOU , WHAT HE DID FOR ME AND MY FAMILY! GOD BLESS YOU JEFF!

I cannot express adequately how fortunate I was that Mr. Mulliner has a horse in the family. I had the opportunity to hire him as my attorney when my former attorney was disbarred and my case was brought to the attention of his wife Chris while taking her morning ride at the stable owned by my Mother... and Grandmother. Mr Mulliner made time to meet with myself and my Grandmother even though he was already involved in another high profile case. He was concerned that motions that needed to be made were not and there seemed to be very little done in the actual defense of the charges against me. My previous attorney and the second attorney seemed to take a very lax attitude about the preliminary motions and arguments that should have been done in the early part of my defense. I have and still do maintain my innocence in the matter that Mr. Mulliner represented me in but both previous attorneys seemed to take the attitude that I HAD driven under the influence and were trying to get me a "good deal". After reviewing the interrogation tape Mr. Mulliner agreed that the charges were unsubstantiated and we would prove that at trial. Mr. Mulliner was ready and willing to prove my innocence even though he had less than 1 week to prepare as we found out about the disbarment of the previous attorney 10 days before trial. In fact Mr Mulliner found in his examination of the records something that NO other attorney ,even the DA, had seen. The OTHER driver involved in the accident was shown to be under the influence of heroin at the time of the accident. When Mr. Mulliner pointed this out to the prosecuting attorney both cases against me were dismissed. My family and I have been put through hell over a criminal case that should never have been filed for more than 2 years. I was unable to do anything for my future during this time I was turned down for an apartment rental, I was unable to apply to the fire department for employment , I was turned down for a credit card, I was even unable to secure a car loan all because I was ACCUSED of DUI not convicted accused those things are the same as far as anyone is concerned. It never mattered that I was CONVICTED of nothing the only person on my side was Mr. Mulliner and I include both previous attorneys in that statement. Now that Mr Mulliner has given me my life back I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart and would advise anyone who needs an attorney to believe in them and DO the work that will find the evidence that proves your right Mr. Mulliner is DEFINITELY the man for the job!
