Emotional and Judgmental - Bad at her Job

The previous reviews were correct about Christine Powell. Please if she is assigned to your case get her off, unless you can get on her emotions with no evidence. Christine Powell was unfortunately appointed to my case as a best interest attorney. My case involved a narcissistic parent who has been ...out of my children’s lives for the past several years to the point where he has been in jail for non-payment of child support. As our court date was approaching, I called her for our initial meeting and she wanted to meet last minute. After the meeting, Powell promised me that she would do everything in her power to prevent the other parent to receive 50/50 custody. I thought that was a little odd because at that time she did not even speak with the other parent or my children. Powell then met with the other parent the day before the hearing. Powell called me right after her meeting with the other parent and said that the other parent made allegations about me and that she believed those allegations. Powell then proceeded to use profanity against me and spoke to me in an emotional tone. I could not believe all of the allegations Powell was saying about me especially since I have never done anything close to what she had said. For example, Powell said that I have an alcohol problem and I can’t even remember the last time I drank alcohol. Despite all of that, Powell told me that at Court the next morning she would recommend to the Judge that I get every day except some weekends. To my surprise, at Court the next morning, Powell recommended to the judge that I get 50/50 custody, made baseless allegations against me, and recommended that I be tested for alcohol. To make matters worse Powell told the Court that she did not even need to interview my kids because her mind was already made up and the interviews would not change anything. It is devastating because I am the only parent that my children know and all one needs to do with Powell to get her to side with you is to make false allegations about the other parent.

HORRIBLE UNETHICAL ATTORNEY AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I, (a mother of three and Petitioner in a Maricopa County Superior Court Family Law Custody Case) had to go to the hospital for anxiety. While in the hospital, I was sued for custody over my middle child by her father (the respondent in the case; an estranged dead-beat dad owing over $20,000.00 in c...hild support and who is a known past/present abuser of the petitioner and child in the family court case, all of which there is evidence of). The judge in the case, Judge Teresa Sanders, has been knowingly violating Rule 10 of Arizona State Family Law, and the Best Interest Attorney (Christine Powell of Chandler Arizona) in the case has been legally advising the respondent in the case (a conflict of interest and violation of Arizona State Bar Ethics) as well as being complicit in violating Rule 10 of Family Law, all of which there is evidence of. In addition, they have taken the minor child in the case and given her to her KNOWN abusive/estranged father (despite evidence proving his abuse and despite his absence from the child's entire life (aside from a few visits that resulted in the known abuse), all based on the rumors, gossip, and lies (also evidence proving this) of a single witness, who has sold the corrupt Judge Sanders on the Petitioner's spirituality being a mental illness (despite witness testimony proving otherwise), and who sold the Petitioner's anxiety and depression as being schizophrenia (despite doctors statements and witness testimony proving otherwise) even though the witness is no expert, has no evidence, and has motive to be discredited as a witness in the case. The Judge Teresa Sanders in the case has ordered supervised visitation of the Petitioner with the minor child, without basis for doing so other than the defaming rumors spread by a single witness. As a result a happy child has been torn from a loving and healthy home, sent to live with her abuser, and whose relationships with her siblings and mother (the Petitioner) have been terminated. The Respondent refuses to contact the Parenting Skills Program in order to allow the Petitioner to see the child in the case. The siblings and child in the case have been severely emotionally wounded and detrimentally affected by this JudgeSanders's violations of the Arizona State Family Law Rules of Procedure, violations of the minor child's peace and happiness, violations by the Best Interest Attorney in the case, violations of the Petitioner's rights as a parent, violations of the Petitioner's First Amendment Rights to practice her spirituality, and the Petitioner's "mental health issues" (Judge Teresa Sander's answer to why this is happening) have been treated as the sole basis for removal of the child from the only home the child has known her entire life. This is without any evidence proving any abuse or neglect, and although CPS was involved in the case, the Judge Teresa Sanders's dismissed CPS because they found the claims against the Petitioner were unsubstantiated. Please get this corrupt Judge Teresa Sanders removed from her appointment and the corrupt Best Interests Attorney Christine Powell investigated by the Arizona State Bar.
