Terrible lawyer

I hired him thinking since he was with a huge firm that he would be able to win my easy case. However, $10,000 he lost a no brainer case! He smelt like alcohol during trial and asked for a breath mint. He had no idea about the case. Facing prison time based on hearsay.. and no evidence because he d...idn’t wanna submit my side! Do not hire this lawyer!!!

I’m sorry the jury found you guilty after a two day trial. As I warned you, trials aren’t sure things or “no brainers”. As for breath mints, one’s mouth becomes dry after hours of examinations and can, frankly, stink. I did ask for a mint on the first day, but not due to drinking as you suggest. Incidentally, I recall you felt I did “awesome” at the end of your trial but before the jury found you guilty. Seems contradictory, no? Anyway, your side was told and you knowingly declined to testify as a result, which was the right call. You need to accept the jury’s verdict and move on.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
