Charlene works for my firm's immigration team. My firm set up a consultation meeting with her to discuss about my change of status. Even though the firm was paying her for the consultation, she was not interested in really helping me with answers. After I explained her my case thoroughly, to almost a...ll my questions she kept answering that she doesn't know the case and hence wont be able to help. Either she didn't listen when I explained my case or nor was not interested in providing me with answers. She evaded 9 of my 11 questions and provided very brief answers to the other 2 questions. At the end of the consultation, I felt that I was not helped at all and ended up booking consultation with another attorney. Thankfully, my other attorney was very informative and I got all the answers I needed. After my consultation with the second attorney I cannot help feel the contrast difference between both the consultations. Being in midst of immigration change of status can itself be very stressful and the last thing you want to do is to deal with an attorney who is cold and not concerned in addressing your concerns/questions. Please find yourself a lawyer who will be truly concerned in you.
