Carla was a horrible attorney for me! It was in 2011 I came to her with threats on my life from my husband and seeking a divorce. Her assistant Catherine MacCarthy did ALL the work and answer all my questions, Carla was sick but never was apologetic in her absence as my attorney. I didn’t receive wh...at I should have because she wasn’t willing to stand up to my husbands attorney. I decided to see if she was still an attorney even, when I read all these nice reviews and had to get my truth out there.

Carla handled a fairly complicated divorce for me. She was very well prepared in court, often several steps ahead of opposing counsel. She had answers to their questions before they knew what they were going to ask. She took care to ensure what was best for my son and leveraged a combination of ne...gation and the courts to deescalate where possible. This ultimately brought us to settlement in what, by all measures, could have been a contentious and messy process. Above all, I felt like she struck just the right balance between being legally and strategically acute, while still compassionate to the emotional difficulties of divorce. She often asked me of how my son was doing, with honest concern, and clearly wanted to help me achieve a peaceful and fair outcome. I certainly have no plans to get divorced again, but I would highly recommend her to anybody needing a family attorney.

Carla worked with me on child custody case. This case spanned over three different states with an extremely high amount of people including government services, as well as private. While she represent myself in my state. she became the hub for the entire case and other lawyers involved from both si...des in all states. At the beginning my children were being taken away and I was being falsely accused of every kind of abuse you can imagine. While all this was going on my children were placed in environments where they were being harmed and abused. I was lost with grief. Frustrated with helplessness, going through three separate investigations through three separate states in the end I know I only have my youngest son safe and returned me because of Carla's dedication, personal attention and commitment to doing what is right regardless of who in front of her. She worked with me through my financial struggles because it was such a large case and help me protect all my children. I am grateful to her and if I had a choice to choose any lawyer to represent myself, my family Carla is the only one.

Carla was extremely effective in the final court hearing. She was well prepared. She was very flexible during the hearing and quickly adjusted to the environment. Her cross examations were to the point, but done in a soft and courtesy manner. This was very effective. Her written summary was exce...llent. Prior to the hearing she had the family well prepared. During the months leading up to the hearing, there were many frustrating times and issues for the family, and Carla and team handled them patiently and effectively.
