Yun Kao

Ms. Yun (“Wendi”) Kao earned a J.D. and her M.B.A. from West Virginia University, a Bachelor's degree in Japanese Language and Literature from National Taiwan University, and has also completed graduate course work in Public Administration at American University in Washington D.C. She is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Minnesota.

Wendi is fluent in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese, Hokkien (Taiwanese), and Japanese. Wendi had a special focus on employment-based immigration, working on H-1B and L-1 work visas as well as PERM labor certification applications, I-140 petitions, and related matters. She has worked on O-1 visa petitions for individuals with extraordinary ability in their field and with a number of immigrant entrepreneurs and foreign investors on U.S. visa matters, including those establishing branch offices or new subsidiaries in the United States. Wendi has experience on issues related to U.S. companies doing business in China who seek U.S. visas for PRC-based staff and provides support for the firm’s family-based immigration and religious worker cases.

Wendi is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), and Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA).
